We are looking for responsible, committed people who are willing to make a difference in the lives of children and young people. More than specific knowledge, we value the ability to create a relationship of trust, listen, monitor and respect the rhythm of each child or young person. Volunteering consists of being a mentor, individually accompanying a child or young person throughout the school year. The objective is to support their development, stimulate learning, strengthen self-esteem and help them recognize their potential and believe in their future. Mentoring takes place once a week, for about 2 hours, throughout a school year, in the spaces of AHEAD partners. Volunteers are accompanied by the association's team and receive initial training before starting the activity. What is required? Be 18 years old or older for the Bairros project or 20 years old or older for the Casas project; Be available and committed to 2 hours a week during a school year; Have responsibility, assiduity and respect for the child or young person accompanied; Submit the criminal record; Participate in initial training.
