Institution's Mission
CBEI – Child Welfare Center of Vila Franca de Xira ([http://www.cbei.pt)–][http://www.cbei.pt)–]www.cbei.pt)– is a non-profit Private Institution of Social Solidarity, created and headquartered in Vila Franca de Xira, which directs the activity for children, young people, families and the community in general.<brThe foundation of the Child Welfare Centre dates back to 1943, at the time with other characteristics, but always with child support as a priority – which remains to this day. With a nursery, daycare, and ATL nonprofit, our mission is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where children can thrive and families can find support.<br<brCurrently, the Institution welcomes about 210 children, participates in Protocols with schools serving meals to about 1000 other children and collaborates with local entities in the distribution of food to needy families – currently supporting about 50 families and 30 homeless adults.<br<brWe need help to be able to continue to help!
