Institution's Mission
ASSOALFRA is an IPSS with a social response of Nursery and Preschool, which has been part of the Alfragide community for 30 years, following the growth of generations of children with dedication, affection and educational commitment.<br<brIts mission is to promote the integral development of children, creating safe, inclusive and enriching educational contexts, where each child is valued in their individuality and encouraged to learn actively, to live with others, to respect the world around them and to grow up with a sense of citizenship, sustainability and connection to nature.<br<brSustainability is based on the ability to respond to the needs of the present without compromising future generations. In ASSOALFRA's educational practice, this principle comes to life every day, in a natural and meaningful way, through experiences that are born from direct contact with the real world, allowing children to learn with their hands in the dirt, with a curious eye and with their hearts involved.<br<brIt is in this spirit that the institution develops projects related to the pedagogical garden, green spaces and environmental education. In these living and constantly changing spaces, children sow, care for, observe and discover the cycles of nature, learning in a concrete way the value of respect for the environment, responsibility, cooperation and ecological awareness.<br<brMore than projects, they are experiences that mark, that arouse curiosity, that create memories and that help to form children who are more aware, sensitive and prepared to take care of the future of the planet.<br
